Hace unas semanas tuve la gran suerte de conocer a Sian Sutherland, la fundadora de la marca de alta  cosmética “mama mio skincare” gracias a la mesa redonda organizada por Sonia Almela de Luxurious Goods.

Couple of weeks ago I had the great opportunity to meet Sian Sutherland, the founder of the high quality cosmetics “mama mio skincare” thanks to the meeting organized by Sonia Almela from Luxurious Goods.

Para aquell@s que no conozcáis esta firma, “mama mio” nace por la pasión de cuatro mujeres hacia el mundo de la belleza y un estilo de vida de bienestar de la mujer creando productos para el cuidado de la piel facial y corporal y siendo muy conocidos sus Bootcamp Kits centrándose en el cuidado de aquellas partes de nuestro cuerpo que más cuidado le solemos aplicar con el paso del tiempo y el tratamiento de la piel de mujeres durante el periodo de embarazo.

For those of you who are not familiar with the firm, “mama mio” starts with four women fond of beauty and a good lifestyle creating products for facial and body skincare, being well know their BootCamp Kits which are focused on those parts of the body which we care more about as the ages go on, and the treatment of skin for those women during the pregnancy.

Esa pasión fue lo que nos unió a 8 mujeres durante unas horas para comentar y hablar sobre la belleza, algo que hoy en día y por la sociedad en la que vivimos, pensamos que únicamente las chicas de 20 años de cuerpos esculturales y que aparecen en las revistas pueden tener. Pues siento deciros amig@s míos que no son ellas las únicas que ostentan el título, puesto que cada una de nosotras somos bellas sin ser portadas de revista, tener piernas de vértigo, la edad, ni tener un cutis perfecto.

This passion was what made that 8 women sat together to discuss and talk about beauty, something that nowadays and due to the society we live in, we think that only those 20 year old girls with perfect bodies in fashion magazines can have. Well, let me tell you my friends that they are not the only one that have the title as each one of us are beautiful without being in the covers of the magazines, have great legs, your age or a perfect skin.

El amor incondicional hacia una persona es lo que hace que sea bella, digo amor a tu pareja, tu familia, tus amigos, a ti misma… Si eres madre, dime, ¿no has sentido la belleza de tu hijo cuando ni siquiera aún ha nacido? Os quiero dejar con unas preguntas y que reflexionéis vuestras respuestas:

Unconditional love towards a person is what make her/him beautiful, I am taking about love to your partner, family, friends, yourself… If you are a mother, tell me, haven´t you felt your child’s beauty before she/he has even born? I want to leave you with some questions and I would like you to think about your answers:

• ¿Qué piensas cuando te miras al espejo? What do you think when you see yourself at the mirror?

• ¿Cuándo fue la última vez que dijiste “Te Quiero”, “Bien Hecho”, “Qué guapa estás” ? When was the last time you said “I love you”, “Well Done”, “You are beautiful”?

• ¿Cuándo te has levantado feliz y sonriendo, ¿cuánta gente se ha girado a mirarte cuando has pasado? When you have woken up happy and smiling, how many people have turned around to see you when you have passed by?

• ¿Qué te hace sentir guapa? What makes you feel beautiful?

La conclusión es que la belleza radica en la felicidad, en el bienestar y en el cuidado de uno mismo, siéntete guapa SIEMPRE y NUNCA olvides que nadie más que tú misma te va a cuidar mejor. Hoy en día hay muchos tratamientos que nos ayudan a continuar con la belleza que buscamos para nosotros mismos sin tener nunca que abusar de ellos puesto que lo bonito es vivir la vida con lo que conlleva, es decir, dejaremos de ser jóvenes para ser mujeres mayores con una visión diferente pero la misma belleza.

The conclusion is that beauty lies on happiness, wellness and care of yourself, feel beautiful ALWAYS and NEVER forget that no one but yourself will take care of you better. Nowadays, there are many treatments that help us continue the beauty that we look for without abusing as the beauty is to live this life, that is, leaving youth to be older women with a different vision but the same beauty.
